Which god t-shirt should you buy? Shiva, Hanuman, Narasimha and Garuda compared

If you want a god t-shirt, pick the deity first and the fit second. Shiva has the most choice at ZOJO (four designs, each in up to three fits), while Hanuman, Narasimha and Garuda each have one bold design on a Rs 699 regular cotton tee, and Garuda also comes as a Rs 999 terry oversized tee. All of them are on our spiritual t-shirts page.

Below is what each print looks like, which fits and colours it comes in, and how to choose.

The Shiva t-shirts

Shiva is where most people start, so there are four designs.

  • Har Har Mahadev: HAR HAR MAHADEV in big letters over Shiva in meditation, with his trishul, an Om and a full moon behind him. Regular in orange, black or white, plus an oversized version and a terry version in black or white.
  • Om Namah Shivay Shiv Ji: a standing Shiva with fire around him, OM NAMAH SHIVAY above and HAR HAR MAHADEV below. Regular in orange, black or white, and also oversized and terry.
  • Om Namah Shivaya: the mantra in Devanagari over a blue Shiva in meditation, with a Shivling in front. It's the calmest of the four, mostly blue and teal. Regular, oversized or terry, in black or white.
  • Cosmic Consciousness: a calm blue Shiva with "Infinite Within" under him. Regular or terry, black or white.

If you want only Shiva, the Lord Shiva t-shirts page shows just these. We also wrote a longer post on which Lord Shiva t-shirt to buy.

Hanuman: the Bajrang tee

The Bajrang t-shirt shows Hanuman in flight, carrying the mountain in one hand and his gada in the other, with a blazing sun behind him and BAJRANG written below. It's a regular fit cotton tee at Rs 699 in black, off white, orange or petrol blue. On black, the orange and gold of the print stand out the most.

Narasimha

The Narasimha t-shirt is the loudest print we have: a roaring Narasimha in gold inside a ring of fire, with NARASIMHA in gold letters under him. Regular fit, Rs 699, in black, bottle green, off white or petrol blue. Pick this one if you want people to notice the tee from across the road.

Garuda

The Garuda print shows Garuda with red and gold wings, pinning a serpent, over a big red sun, with GARUDA written across the bottom in red. It comes as a regular tee at Rs 699 (black, jade, off white or yellow) and as a terry oversized tee at Rs 999 (black, jade or off white).

Buddha and Kalyug

Not every spiritual tee is a god tee. The Third Eye Buddha has a meditating Buddha under a large third eye, with a cheeky "let that sh*t go" line, in regular, oversized or terry. Kalyug is just the word कलयुग in Devanagari on the front, with a full colour print on the back. If you've wondered what Kalyug means, we wrote a short explainer. Both sit on the same spiritual page. If you want to know what the trishul, the third eye and the other symbols mean, read what our Shiva and Buddha tees mean.

Regular, oversized or terry?

The fit decides how the tee hangs and how warm it is.

  • Regular, Rs 699: 100% cotton, 180 GSM, a normal crew fit. The lightest, good for summer and long temple queues. Every design above comes in this fit.
  • Oversized, Rs 899: 100% cotton, 240 GSM, dropped shoulders, cut loose. Har Har Mahadev, both Om Namah designs, Third Eye Buddha and Kalyug come in it.
  • Terry oversized, Rs 999: 90/10 cotton-poly terry at 260 GSM, the thickest of the three. Good for winter. Not sure what terry feels like? Here's what a terry t-shirt is, or see all our terry t-shirts.

Take your usual size in every fit. The oversized and terry tees already have the extra room built in. Size charts in inches are on each product page.

Which one should you buy?

  • For a festival day, Mahashivratri or Sawan: an orange Har Har Mahadev or Om Namah Shivay Shiv Ji regular tee.
  • For everyday wear: a black Om Namah Shivaya, the quietest print here.
  • For a Hanuman bhakt: Bajrang, in orange or black.
  • For a bold, statement look: Narasimha or Garuda on black.
  • For winter: any terry version, or the Garuda terry.

Printing, delivery and returns

We print each tee after you order it, with DTG printing, so the ink is printed into the cotton instead of sitting on top as a layer. It ships within 24 to 48 working hours, and most orders reach you in 5 to 8 working days (J&K and the Northeast can take up to 10). Shipping is free anywhere in India, and GST is included in the price. You can pay in full online, or pay 20% now and the rest to the courier.

Wrong size? You get a free size exchange. Changed your mind? Any tee can come back within 7 days of delivery for a full refund.

Is it okay to wear a god t-shirt every day?

That's your call, and plenty of people do. Keep it clean and cared for: wash it inside out in cold water and dry it in the shade. Our washing guide has the rest.

Do these come in sizes for women?

The regular, oversized and terry tees are unisex, XS to XXL. Har Har Mahadev and Om Namah Shivay Shiv Ji regular tees go up to 3XL.

Are god t-shirts a good gift?

Yes, for someone into bhakti or meditation. Each tee is printed after the order is placed, so order early. For Diwali, order by 30 October.

Will the print crack or fade?

DTG ink sits in the fabric rather than on top, so it doesn't peel like a sticker. Wash inside out and don't iron straight on the print.

Is there a combo price?

Yes. Two regular tees are Rs 1,199, and two oversized tees are Rs 1,599. The discount is applied in your bag.
